Virginia Veterans Foundation
The Virginia Veterans Foundation is the official 501(c)3 foundation for the VFW Department of Virginia. Its mission is to support the programs and operations of the Department and to support the military, veterans of the military, and their families.
VFW Post 2296 supports veterans and our community on the Eastern Shore. Members meet the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM. The Hall is open to the public Friday and Saturday 12-4PM and
Sundays 1-4PM.
Our Post is open to any veterans in the area who have served overseas. And we have an auxiliary open to those close to veterans who have served overseas. Send us an email, if you're interested in joining.

After Flooding, VFW Post 2296 Reopens Stronger Than Ever
What began as an unfortunate setback has turned into a fresh start for VFW Post 2296. After severe flooding damaged much of the building last year, the Post has completed a full renovation and is ready to welcome members, veterans, and the wider community back inside.
As we enter Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week (continuing throughout the month of September), I want to take a moment to speak directly to each of you, not just as your Commander, but as a fellow veteran who understands the weight many of us carry.
